Techno-marvels or Total Control?

How many people think that simply talking to their computer to order it to perform a task is the cat’s meow? How many consider an app that writes their reports or their essays is a fantastic innovation? How many people have become so lazy that they do nothing for themselves?

That slippery slope is becoming a landslide of incompetent graduates and lost jobs.

Think about it. With technology like Alexa and Chat GPT, plus the occasional robot, companies no longer need to hire staff to fill positions:

to take customer surveys

to answer calls from clients and suppliers

to write reports

to store digital data

to fill out forms of every type and purpose

to handle bookkeeping and accounting in companies, banks, and governments

to inventory warehouses

to fill orders from stock

to write books, teleplays, screenplays, and game scenarios

to write articles for magazines, blogs, social media posts and threads, and news media

to act in videos and games

to host news and other televised programs

to design fashions and architecture

to take emergency calls

to diagnose patients online

to perform surgery (thanks to Elon Musk)

to interview witnesses

to present evidence in court

to gather and analyze data, including military intelligence

to drive cabs, transport trucks, trains, and any computerized cars

to fly passenger and transport planes

to pilot ships and submarines

to deploy weapons

to guard prisoners

to monitor and report weather

to plant, monitor, and harvest crops

to suppress fires

to run factories and repair machines

and the list goes on and on….

Do you really think Universal Basic Welfare was about protecting people from poverty? Do you really think that the college degree that you obtained by using technology to do the work for you will get you a high-paying and secure job? Do you really think that you’ll profit by replacing employees with technology, thus ensuring fewer and fewer people can afford your products or services?

Stop letting machines do your thinking for you.

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a co-worker
who was conducting a little research on this. And he in fact bought me lunch simply because I found it for him…

about this topic here on your internet site.
